Welcome to the ColorPhi Community! Together, we are shaping the future of personalized visual algorithms, creating tools that enhance color perception for individuals with color vision deficiencies (CVD). Our community thrives on collaboration, respect, and a shared commitment to improving the human experience of vision. To ensure this space remains welcoming, productive, and inclusive, we have established the following guidelines:

 

Our Core Principles

1. Inclusivity: We welcome individuals of all backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, ability, or other personal characteristics.

2. Respect: All interactions within the community must be respectful and supportive, fostering a spirit of constructive collaboration.

3. Focus on Vision: Discussions and activities should center on ColorPhi’s mission to improve vision-related technology and support individuals with CVD.

 

Unacceptable Behavior

To maintain a positive and collaborative environment, the following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

1. Hate Speech and Harassment: Any form of hate speech, bullying, or harassment is unacceptable. This includes discriminatory language or behavior based on race, gender, religion, ability, or other protected characteristics.

2. Polarizing Topics: Discussions about politics, religion, geopolitical issues, sexual orientation or any subject that is divisive or unrelated to ColorPhi’s mission are not allowed.

3. Inappropriate Media: Images, videos, or other media shared or uploaded in the community must adhere to these guidelines. Media containing hate speech, explicit content, polarizing topics, or other prohibited behaviors is not allowed.

4. Personal Attacks: Criticism should be constructive and focused on ideas, not individuals.

5. Spam or Self-Promotion: Unsolicited advertising, spamming, or sharing unrelated promotional content is not permitted.

6. Disruptive Conduct: Behavior that disrupts the community’s collaborative environment will not be tolerated.

 

Participation Guidelines

1. Collaborate Positively: Work together to provide constructive feedback, share insights, and contribute to ColorPhi’s development.

2. Engage Thoughtfully: Use discussions, voting on images, and other activities as opportunities to learn, grow, and make meaningful contributions.

3. Share Responsibly: Any media shared must align with these guidelines, ensuring it is respectful, constructive, and mission-focused. 

4. Celebrate Diversity: Recognize and celebrate the diverse experiences and perspectives within our community.

 

Guidelines for Posting Images

To maintain a respectful and safe environment for all members of our community, please adhere to the following guidelines when posting images:

1. Appropriate Content: Only share images that are suitable for all audiences. Do not post images that contain nudity, sexual content, graphic violence, or any form of illegal activity.

2. Respect and Tolerance: Refrain from sharing images that could be considered offensive, discriminatory, or harassing toward any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other personal characteristics.

3. Privacy Considerations: Do not post images of individuals without their explicit consent, especially in private or compromising situations.

4. Copyright Compliance: Ensure you have the rights or permissions to share any images you post. Avoid infringing on intellectual property laws by posting copyrighted material without authorization.

5. Relevance and Quality: Share images that are relevant to the topic or discussion and of acceptable quality. Irrelevant or low-quality images may be removed.

6. No Malicious Content: Do not post images that contain malware, viruses, or any content intended to harm or disrupt another user's computer or device.

7. Reporting Violations: If you encounter an image that violates these guidelines, please report it to the moderators or administrators immediately.

Enforcement and Consequences

To ensure the integrity of the community:

1. Reporting Violations: If you encounter behavior or media that violates these guidelines, please report it to the ColorPhi moderation team immediately.

2. Warnings: Depending on the severity, violations may result in a warning to address the behavior.

3. Content Removal: Inappropriate media will be removed immediately, and those responsible may face consequences.

4. Account Suspension or Ban: Severe or repeated violations will result in suspension or permanent removal from the community.

5. Appeals Process: Individuals who feel they have been unfairly removed may appeal through the moderation team for review.

 

Our Commitment

We are dedicated to maintaining a safe, respectful, and collaborative environment. Moderators and administrators will actively monitor the community and respond promptly to any violations.
